The Tampa Bay Buccaneers celebrate their 50th NFL season in 2025 with a year-long series of events that honor the franchise’s history and engage fans across the Tampa Bay region.
The team launched the celebration April 21 by inviting fans to help select the “Top 50 Buccaneers,” a list recognizing the most impactful players in team history. The final list, presented by Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, combines fan votes, input from local media and evaluations by a team-appointed committee. It is unveiled in a countdown leading up to the start of the 2025 regular season.
In July, fans participate in a bracket-style competition called “50 Seasons Best Moments”. The contest highlights key events from the franchise’s history and ultimately crowns the most iconic moment.

To mark the milestone, the team releases exclusive 50th season merchandise, including commemorative jerseys featuring a special anniversary patch. Apparel from Mitchell & Ness and other brands becomes available online and at the Buccaneers Team Store. A pre-sale event takes place April 24 during the team’s NFL Draft Party at Raymond James Stadium.
The Buccaneers use this celebration to reflect on five decades of football while building excitement for the future. The initiative strengthens the connection between the team and its fans, spotlighting both the franchise’s legacy and its continued impact on the Tampa Bay community.
