UF is preparing to chomp the athletic competition as some reptiles get ready to rumble. The Gators will continue to compete in several sports this week and throughout the weekend.
Baseball
The Gators baseball team (25-14, 4-11 SEC) will play in a series at Mississippi State (23-14, 5-10) from Friday to Sunday. UF has won seven of its last eight games against MSU and has hopes of running home with a few more wins under its belt. The team is on a five-game winning streak.
Florida is up to bat on Friday at 8 p.m. (All times ET), Saturday at 8:30 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m.

Softball
Staying on the diamond, while the baseball team is away, the No. 8 Gators softball team (37-9, 9-6) is set for a home series against No. 22 Alabama (30-16, 7-8). The series has the potential to be Florida’s first SEC series victory at home this season. The Gators are also chasing a fifth overall SEC series victory for the season.
Florida fell to Ole Miss in its most recent game after winning the first two games of the series in Oxford. With key players and even a recent SEC Player of the Week, Mia Williams, UF is ready to get the winning energy rolling again.
The Gators will play at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium against Alabama today at 6 p.m. (SEC Network+) , Friday at 6 p.m. (SEC Network) and Saturday at 2 p.m. (ESPN2).

Women’s Golf
The No. 7-seed Gators women’s golf team continues to chomp on the green in the SEC Championship in Belleair, Fla. Florida is competing in the semifinals against Arkansas today after defeating the No. 2-seeded Louisiana State University.
The winner of today’s round will advance to the SEC Championship finals Friday and they will face No. 1 South Carolina and No. 4 Ole Miss.

Men’s Tennis
The Gators don’t just swing bats and clubs, they also swing rackets. The Gator men’s tennis team (13-10, 8-6) continues the fight in the SEC Tournament, which runs through the rest of the weekend. Florida is the No. 6 seed and will open the tournament at 6 p.m. today at the Carolina Tennis Center in Columbia, S.C., against No. 11 seed Arkansas.

Track and Field
The Gators Track and Field team will host the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational. This final home meet of the season will take place starting at noon Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday at James G. Pressly Stadium. The Gators just competed in the Pepsi Florida Relays on April 4-5.
Lacrosse
The No. 4 Gators lacrosse team (13-2, 3-0 Big 12) will take on the University of Cincinnati (8-7, 1-2) at Donald R. Dizney Stadium on Saturday at noon (ESPN+). With hopes of ending the day with an 11th straight win, Florida is ready to rumble.
