Gators Baseball Blasts Past Stetson

Bobby Boser etched his name into Florida baseball history Tuesday night by blasting three home runs to power the Gators to a 14-4 run-rule win against Stetson in seven innings at Condron Family Ballpark. It marked the first three-homer game by a Gator since Jac Caglianone did it against Cincinnati in 2023.

“I mean yeah that’s a good name to be a part of,” Boser said.

But it wasn’t just the long ball. Florida (25-14) extended its win streak to five games — their longest since March 5–11. And just like Saturday night, Brendan Lawson walked it off, this time with a two-RBI double in the bottom of the seventh.

Boser Bombs Away

Boser set the tone early with a solo shot in the bottom of the first, then launched go-ahead blasts in the fourth and sixth. He finished the night 3-for-5 with three HR, three RBI and three runs scored.

His third homer in the sixth put Florida up 9-4 and brought the Condron crowd to its feet, tying him to a feat few Gators have achieved.

For the second straight game, it was Lawson sealing the deal. After reaching base three times, including a walk and a single, the freshman smoked a double down the line in the seventh to drive in Ashton Wilson and Landon Stripling, pushing the Gators ahead by 10 and triggering the run rule.

Florida mashed five extra-base hits, including a three-run homer by Wilson in the fifth and a two-run bomb from Blake Cyr in the sixth. The Gators pounded out 13 hits, scored 14 runs and capitalized on four Stetson (24-14) errors.

Pitching Settles In

After a shaky start from Jackson Barberi (2.2 IP, 3 R, 1 ER), Alex Philpott took over and calmed things down. He tossed 3.1 strong innings, allowing just a run on a hit to earn the win (2-3). Christian Rodriguez closed it out with a clean seventh.

Looking Ahead

The Gators have turned a corner with five straight wins and plenty of offense to go around. They’ll look to keep the momentum rolling heading into this weekend’s SEC matchup when they travel to Starkville to take on Mississippi State (23-14).
