No. 4 Florida Gators lacrosse team remains undefeated in Big 12 games after defeating Colorado 15-10 on Saturday in Boulder.

First Quarter
The Buffaloes (6-6, 2-1 Big 12) scored the game’s first two goals within the first 1:39. But, UF (12-2, 3-0) responded with a free-position shot by sophomore Gabbi Koury with 8:20 left in the first.
Colorado was able to score two more goals with 7:46 and 5:52 left on the clock before Florida could find its second goal by Koury at 2:29. The first quarter ended with the Buffaloes leading 4-2.
Second Quarter
The Gators started the quarter with the first goal. Jenny Markey scored early in the quarter with 12:09 remaining. However, Colorado responded with another goal at 7:18 to regain a two-point goal lead, 5-3. Markey secured another goal.
Before the end of the quarter, Florida and Colorado scored two more goals. The Gators goals were scored by Ava Tighe. UF was down at half 7-6.
Third Quarter
The Buffaloes came out strong with a free-position goal to start the quarter, giving them a two-point lead once again. But, UF responded quickly with two goals by Gianna Monaco and Josie Hahn to tie the game 8-8. With 10:32 left on the clock, Florida earned its first lead of the game when Basso intercepted a pass and scored a goal.
Tighe was able to find another goal with 9:05 left giving UF a two-point lead 10-8. This was followed by two more goals by Monaco and Hahn. Colorado put a stop to Florida’s six-point run with a goal at 5:04 remaining. But, Monaco scored another goal for Florida to bring the score to 13-9.
The Buffaloes found the back of Florida’s goal one last time in the quarter to bring the score to 13-10.
Fourth Quarter
Florida earned two more goals by Koury and Basso to end the game at 15-10.
Player Highlights
Frannie Hahn has had two or more assists in eight consecutive games. Markey had a career-high in assists and has won 24 draw controls in the last eight games she has played in. Sam Hughes had a career high three ground balls.
The Gators will be back at home on Tuesday for a match against Stetson at 6 p.m.
