Orange & Blue Game And National Title Celebration On Saturday

Fresh off March Madness, the Gators men’s basketball team is the talk of the country. Walter Clayton Jr. and the Florida squad defeated the Houston Cougars in the NCAA National Championship Game on Monday in San Antonio.

But what’s next in Gainesville? UF welcomed the new champs home Tuesday with a packed rally on Flavet Field. The Florida Gators social team also announced a “National Championship Celebration” for Saturday. The third national title in program history comes with plenty of excitement for the city of Gainesville and Florida students alike.

The national champions will celebrate its season with Gator Nation on Saturday during an extended 30-minute halftime at the Orange & Blue Game at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Admission is free. The football game kicks off at 1 p.m. with halftime celebration festivities taking place at about 2 p.m. The event will include remarks from coach Todd Golden and players talking with Voice of the Gators Sean Kelley, as well as highlights looking back at the Gators’ incredible run to the title.

With basketball season coming to a close, football is fast on its heels. Saturday is not only about the top dogs of the basketball world, but the up-and-coming DJ Lagway-led Gators football team. The 2025 Orange & Blue Game rosters are coming on Friday. The Gators spring game at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is one where fans and students can join in on the fun (with free admission) before the highly anticipated regular season begins in August.

Florida Victorious, the official NIL Partner of the Gators, is bringing plenty of exciting experiences for Saturday’s game, including live music, giveaways and autographs. The pregame fun begins at 10 a.m. on the North Lawn on University Avenue. One fan has a chance to win a custom Gators Club Car, as well as 1,000 Gators trucker hats being available to students. If Gators fans become Florida Victorious members, they can join players and coaches in an autograph event on the field following the conclusion of the game.

Expect plenty of Gators support at Saturday’s scrimmage, as last season’s Orange & Blue Game saw 48,000 fans at Ben Hill Griffin and even more on Florida’s campus for the spring festivities. Gates open at 11:30 a.m., and all non-reserved parking on campus, including Lots 114 and the O’Connell Center garage, will be available for general parking on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking on the grass and sidewalks is not permittedand any vehicles doing so are at risk of being towed.

The Gators will pack The Swamp this season for six regular season home games. Florida Victorious offers season ticket packages available for purchase on its website.
