Florida gymnastics won the evening session of the Tuscaloosa Regional Semifinal to advance to the finals. Now, the Gators face No. 6 California, No. 11 Alabama and No. 14 Oregon State Sunday evening, looking for a spot in the NCAA National Semifinals.

Gators’ Last Time Out
No. 3 Florida has the highest score of any region thus far, including four play-in meets, eight semifinals and two finals. A 198.225 allowed the Gators to advance to the Regional Finals with ease.
Senior Leanne Wong had another stellar all-around performance. She placed second in the all-around with a 39.775 after scoring a 9.925 and three 9.95s. Junior Selena Harris-Miranda came in third with her score of 39.7.
The Gators had a consistent night, as they had a 49.575 on three events and a 49.5 on vault in the second rotation.
Oregon State
The Beavers scored a 197.05 in the same semifinal session as the Gators. Oregon State improved in each rotation and performed the best on floor with a 49.525.
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Jade Carey won the all-around, putting up three scores of 9.95 before scoring a perfect 10.0 on the floor exercise. She also was a regional champion on each of the four individual events.
Early Session
The Cal Golden Bears won the first semifinal of the regional with a 197.55. Madelyn Williams and Mya Lauzon became regional co-champions with scores of 9.95. Williams shared the title with Carey and Wong on bars, while Lauzon shared the beam title with Carey, Wong and Harris-Miranda.
Host team Alabama scored a 197.275, nearly matching its national qualifying score. The Crimson Tide had a 49.6 on floor to tie its second-highest event score of the season.
