Gator Success
Florida has a lengthy history in the NCAA postseason. The Gators have won the Regional Championships 21 times, including last season. They have made the NCAA Championships 40 out of 42 times in event history.
The last time the Gators competed, they put up an impressive showing at the SEC Championships, including a record-breaking team score on bars (49.85). Three 10s on the night showed that Florida putting up the most perfect scores in the country is no fluke. Coach Jenny Rowland said that meet was one to remember.
Because of an extra week between SECs and the Regionals, the Gators went through competition-like challenges to prepare for the rest of postseason, Rowland said. She said making it to this point of the season is not a given, and it is not taken for granted.
In a weekend full of Florida athletics, freshman Taylor Clark looks forward to competing with and for her team.
“I think Gator nation is definitely looking forward to this meet, so I think there’s going to be a good turnout,” Clark said.
Oregon State
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Jade Carey leads her team and the nation in the all-around and on beam. The senior has the highest score in the all-around in NCAA Gymnastics this season (39.925). She has competed all four events in every meet this year and has not dipped below a 9.85 on any single apparatus. The AAI Award finalist also has three 10s this season – one on beam and two on floor.

The Beavers’ highest team score of the year was a 197.7 that came March 15 when they hosted Air Force.
NC State
The Wolfpack finished the regular season ranked 19th in the country. NC State has a season-high team score of 197.025, dating back to Feb. 21 when it faced North Carolina at home.
Graduate student and two-time AAI Award semifinalist Chloe Negrete was named a WCGA regular-season second-team All-American last week for her performances on the balance beam.
Clemson Still Dancing
The Tigers remain in the NCAA postseason after defeating the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the play-in meet Thursday afternoon.
Clemson scored 195.4 in the competition, performing the best on floor. A 49.275 was made up of scores above 9.8, including the only two scores of 9.9 in the whole competition.
