Oak Hall Boys Lacrosse Dominates Senior Night With Shutout Win

Oak Hall’s boys lacrosse team dominated on Senior Night by securing an 18-0 win Tuesday against the Santa Fe Raiders (3-3).

The Eagles (10-1) came out strong by winning the opening face-off and immediately pressured the Raiders’ defense. Despite Santa Fe’s efforts, Oak Hall controlled possession and executed sharp passing plays.

Parker Kohlhaas assisted on Kevin Bendekovic’s opening goal. Shortly after, Warren Meisenbach set up Bendekovic for his second goal. Bendekovic completed a hat trick before the quarter ended in giving Oak Hall a 4-0 lead.

The Eagles extended their lead in the second quarter. Meisenbach scored off an assist from Colton Keller, followed by a goal from Simon Myers.

With 8:52 left in the half, Oak Hall led 6-0. Meisenbach struck again after an assist from Pierce Montes.

The Raiders struggled to clear the ball to allow Dominic Moreschi to power through traffic for another goal. Paul Thur de Koss won another face-off that lead to Montes scoring into the crease. Meisenbach added another goal before halftime to send Oak Hall into the break with a 10-0 advantage.

The third quarter saw Oak Hall continue their dominance. Keller opened the half with a goal, followed by Montes’ second score of the night to push the lead to 12-0.

Younger players contributed as well, with freshman Brandon Eichel and eighth-grader Oliver Love-Lenor adding goals to extend the lead to 14-0 entering the final quarter.

Oak Hall closed out the game efficiently. Kohlhaas assisted on de Koos’ goal that made it 16-0.

With a running clock, Meisenbach secured his fourth goal of the game. Despite a triple penalty leaving them shorthanded, the Eagles remained in control the rest of the way.
