Gators Swim and Dive NCAA Qualifiers Announced

With NCAA Diving Zone Championships finished and swimming qualifiers announced, Gators swimming and diving has all eyes on the NCAA Championships.

Gators men

Fifteen men’s swimmers qualified for the 2025 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships. Only two schools have more qualifying swimmers, with California and Texas each having 18. The Gators won five national championships at last year’s NCAA Championships but finished third overall.

Of the Gators headed to the NCAA Championships, Josh Liendo is one to keep an eye on. Liendo won the national championships in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and 100 fly last year. Liendo qualified for all three events in this year’s championships and will try to defend his title in a few weeks.

Two men’s divers qualified for the NCAA Championships during Zone Championships. Since diving scoring isn’t standardized across the country, regional championships are used to determine which divers qualify for the NCAA Championships. Jesus Gonzalez qualified for all three diving events, Peyton Donald qualified in springboard and Conor Gesing qualified for springboard.

Gators women

Fourteen women’s swimmers qualified for this year’s NCAA championships. Three women’s divers qualified at Zone Championships. Camyla Monroy qualified in all three diving events and Casey Greenberg qualified on platform.

Florida Women’s Swimming and Diving finished third at last year’s NCAA Championships. Bella Sims won national championships in the 200 and 500 freestyle last year and will try to win again this year. The Gators also won the 800 freestyle relay at last year’s championships.

2025 NCAA Championships

Both Florida Swimming and Diving teams are ranked in the top five. The men are No. 4 and the women are No. 5. Both teams had SEC championship win streaks broken this year. After national championship wins last year and third place finishes by both teams, the Gators will try to continue their history of national success at this year’s NCAA championships.

Women’s NCAA Championships start next week on Wednesday, March 19 and continue through Saturday, March 22. Men’s NCAA Championships start the following week on Wednesday, March 26, and end on Saturday, March 29.
