Santa Fe College athletics have been rounding up and rolling out. Between a basketball honoree and both baseball and softball getting into the swing of things, it has been a notable week for the Saints.
Basketball Player Honored
Saints sophomore guard Karmello Branch was announced to the All-FCSAA Team on Tuesday. This team includes 12 of the best players from the state of Florida. He is also a four-time FCSAA Player of the Week. Branch was also recognized and was awarded to the First Team All-Citrus.
Karmello Branch led the Saints in the three major statistic categories. This All-FCSAA Team member led the FCSAA in scoring with 21.4 points per game. He scored more than 20 points in 20 of the 32 games. He also scored double digits in 30 of the 32 games he played in. Branch averaged 6.8 rebounds a game and 3.4 assists per game.
Branch is currently holding onto several D1 offers. He currently has offers from Cal State Northridge, Central Michigan, Florida A&M, Jacksonville, LeMoyne, Missouri Kansas City, and Northern Illinois.

Saints Baseball
Santa Fe baseball sits at a record of 5-7 conference play, and 12-15 overall. The drive of the Saints persists, having gotten so close to a win against St. Johns River State College. They fell behind early in the game but fought back. Despite a losing record, the Saints are looking to dominate the diamond.
Santa Fe is back in action on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. against Eastern Florida State College, a continuation of Thursday’s battle.

Saints Softball
Santa Fe softball has a 7-7 record within the conference and 17-2 overall. The Saints are currently on a two-game winning streak after beating St. Petersburg College in their last two games.
On deck, they will take on College of Central Florida on March 18 at 2:00 P.M.
