Continued Dominance
Senior Emmerson Horvath scored her first goal of the season and the game’s final one to give Buchholz the final margin.
Eastside (0-6) did not register a single shot on goal due to the defensive display implemented by Buchholz, which had 30 shots on goal. Buchholz registered its first shutout of the season.
Henson and Crispen both scored three goals in the first half. Junior Becca Beyer and senior Jenna Davis also scored two goals.

Buchholz suffered a tough 16-1 loss on the road to Oak Hall last Friday night. The team’s morale did not suffer, according to Buchholz coach Marissa Higgins.
“I knew we had a better product than what we showed,” Higgins said. “I just reminded them how special they are and to get excited for another great opportunity.”

Higgins emphasized the impact of her seniors, saying the team would not be the same without them.
“Every little bit they offer in terms of leadership, positivity, mentorship and accountability goes a long way,” Higgins said. “They helped reel everyone back in and reminded them that a loss doesn’t define us and a win doesn’t define us.”
