Hurricanes Host Lightning For Third Matchup of Season

The Tampa Bay Lightning will travel to Raleigh to face the Carolina Hurricanes for a Tuesday night ice battle.

The match will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Lenovo Center.

This will be the third matchup of the season between the two teams. The last time the Lightning played the Hurricanes was Jan. 7 and it ended in a 3-2 home victory for the Lightning.

With the newest match taking place on Hurricane territory Carolina might have the advantage. The team holds a winning 25-7-1 record at home while the Lightning possess an even 14-14-2 record on the road.

Top Performers

Both the Lightning and the Hurricanes have solid overall records. The Lightning is ranked third in the Atlantic Division with a 37-22-4 record while the Hurricanes stand at No. 2 in the Metropolitan Division with a 38-22-4 record.

Players Seth Jarvis and Sebastian Aho for the Hurricanes, as well as Nikita Kucherov and Brandon Hagel for the Lightning have delivered standout performances throughout the season that have helped bring the team’s success in 2025.

Hagel and Kucherov each rack up an influential number of points. Kucherov has 28 goals and 64 assists on the season while Hagel has scored a whopping six goals with eight assists over the last 10 games.

Meanwhile, Hurricanes players Jarvis and Aho are making an impact up north, too. Aho has tallied seven goals and three assists over the last 10 games to put the Hurricanes on a four-game winning streak. Seth Jarvis, the 23-year-old NHL player has scored a total of 25 goals and 23 assists so far this season.
