The Orlando Magic (29-34), currently the 8th seed in the Eastern conference, welcome the No. 10 seed Chicago Bulls (24-38) Thursday. If the season ended today, both teams would participate in the play-in tournament to determine the 7th and 8th seed in the East.
Currently, the Bulls and Magic are on losing streaks, and only one team can end such streak Thursday night.
So far this season

The first time was on Oct. 30, 2024, in Chicago. It was a close game, but the Bulls came out victorious 102-99. Paolo Banchero’s 31-point performance was not enough for the Magic to win, as the Bulls had six different players with double-digit points.

The second time out on Nov. 27, 2024, this time in Orlando, the Magic came out on a mission. In this game it was a different player stepping up for the Magic, as injuries to Banchero prevented him from playing. This time it was Jalen Suggsย with his own 31-point performance. The Magic had four other players in double digits, with almost double the free throw attempts and forced the Bulls to turn the ball over, a well-rounded effort that helped them win.

For Thursday’s game, the Magic are without Jalen Suggs (left knee) and will have to be led by their leader in points and assists, Franz Wagner. The Magic are eager to erase their current four-game losing streak and win this game at home, before going on a five-game road stint.
The Bulls are looking to end their two-game losing streak and stay within reach in the late season playoff push. Led by Coby White and Nikola Vuฤeviฤ, their team leaders in points, they look to spoil the Magic’s home court advantage.
