The gymnastics SEC Weekly Honors were announced Tuesday and two Gators are included. Leanne Wong is the SEC Gymnast of the Week and Victoria Nguyen is the SEC Co-Specialist of the Week. On Monday afternoon, Wong and Nguyen were announced as one of five Florida gymnasts nominated for the 2025 AAI Award, which recognizes senior gymnasts for their dedication and performance.
Leanne Wong
The senior standout posted the nation’s high all-around score for the weekend of 39.75, helping the Gators beat Missouri and match their season-high team score of 198.125. Wong’s all-around score ties for No. 4 in the country and equals her season high.
Her fifth all-around title of 2025 and the 19th of her career, Wong ranks No. 7 on Florida’s career all-around win list. She is currently ranked the No. 2 all-arounder in the country behind Oregon State’s Jade Carey. Wong also ranks in the top 10 in three of four events.
Against the Tigers, Wong’s best event was bars. She earned a near-perfect 9.975, matching her season high. This is Wong’s third SEC Gymnast of the Week honor this season.

Victoria Nguyen
Fifth-year senior Victoria Nguyen made her season debut on vault against Missouri. Earlier in the week, Florida coach Jenny Rowland said Nguyen was “itching to go” on vault. That was clearly the case as Nguyen equaled her collegiate best of 9.975.

She came in second for the vault title, just behind teammate Selena Harris-Miranda, who earned a perfect 10.0 on the apparatus.
Nguyen has competed on every event except for bars this season, but she has been a consistent all-around for the Gators throughout her career.
This is Nguyen’s first SEC Specialist of the Week award, and she shares the title with Oklahoma’s Elle Mueller.
