Florida Gators athletics will be in full swing this weekend, with key matchups across multiple sports. The weekend will consist of competition in gymnastics, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s basketball, baseball, softball, lacrosse, women’s golf, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving. Here’s a breakdown of what Gators athletics fans can expect.
Baseball Hosts Harvard Series
No.7 Florida baseball (11-1) welcomes Harvard (0-6) to Condron Ballpark for a three-game series starting Friday. This will be the Gator’s last non-conference series before their matchup against Florida State on March 11.
Florida has some momentum after a great start to the season. Meanwhile, Harvard is still looking for its first win of the season after being swept by Michigan in the last week of February.
Softball Enters First SEC Challenge
The No.5 Gators softball team (23-1) hits the road to play No.2 Texas A&M (20-2). Although having faced No. 14 Duke twice this year, the Gators’ matchup with the Aggies will be their toughest competition of the season so far. This SEC opening series starts Friday.
Men’s Basketball Wraps Up Regular Season
Also ranked at No. 5, the Florida men’s basketball team (25-4) plays the final game of the regular season at home on Saturday against Ole Miss (20-9). With the SEC Tournament looming, the Gators aim to stay healthy and finish strong.
Florida guard Walter Clayton Jr. will be a player to watch as he looks to lead UF further in the NCAA Tournament than last year’s first-round finish. The senior guard is a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, given to the best point guard in the country, while averaging 16.9 point per game.

Gymnastics Travels to Alabama for Another SEC Showdown
No. 4 Florida Gymnastics (8-3) travels to Tuscaloosa for a Friday-night competition against Alabama (4-6). The Gators are coming off a win against No. 8 Missouri, while Alabama most recently defeated No. 16 Arkansas. With SEC Championships around the corner, Florida looks to perfect its routines despite the loss of senior Sloane Blakely to a leg injury, while maintaining its top 5 ranking.
Women’s Golf Hosts Gators Invitational
The Florida women’s golf team are both hosting the Gators Invitational this weekend. Florida International, Mercer, UCF and FAU will all be participating. The tournament is taking place at Mark Bostick Golf Course, beginning on Friday and finishing on Sunday.
Tennis and Lacrosse Look to Bounce Back
Florida women’s tennis (3-5) hosts Texas A&M on Sunday. The Gators need a win to get back on track after a tough loss to Georgia on Sunday. Meanwhile, UF men’s tennis (8-5) is traveling to Texas A&M for a match on Saturday, who has an identical 8-5 record.
No. 7 Florida lacrosse (3-2) is also looking to recover after losing to No. 19 James Madison. UF hosts Loyola (3-2) at Dizney Stadium on Saturday on a search for that recovery. Loyola is coming off a victory.
Swim and Dive Heads to NCAA Diving Zones
Both Florida’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams (4-4 and 6-2) will begin NCAA Diving Zones on Sunday in Auburn, Alabama. The competition will last four days as Gator divers compete for a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships later this month.
