Games Around the NFL for Week 6 action

There are going to be some big games in Week 6 of the NFL.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos started Week 6 play on Thursday Night football.

Chiefs win over the Broncos Thursday Night game

Chiefs (5-1) held off the  Broncos (1-5) 19-8 at Arrowhead Stadium. This game was closer than what experts thought it would be.

In the first quarter, Kansas City only scored a field goal.

The Broncos’ defense got key stops in the game including an interception from their star free safety, Justin Simmons.

However, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense were able to start clicking with their passing game. They racked up 306 total passing yards against the Broncos defense.

Big AFC South Showdown game

Shane Steichen and the Colts (3-2) will be taking on Doug Pederson and the Jacksonville  Jaguars (3-2) at EverBank Stadium.

In Week 5 the Colts had a huge win against the Titans 23-16. Meanwhile, across the pond,  the Jaguars picked up a big win against the Bills.

The Colts will not have their star rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson, who suffered a shoulder injury against the Titans in Week 5. He was put on injured reserve on Wednesday. Therefore, Steichen will have to rely on his backup quarterback Gardner Minshew.

Although Richardson is out, Steichen believes in his backup quarterback.

Colts starting running back Jonathan Taylor is expected to get more involved in the running game. However, Jacksonville defense would be in their way. Jacksonville is ranked  5th in the NFL in run defense.

Monday Night Showdown game in LA

The Chargers (2-2)  are hosting the Dallas Cowboys (3-2) at SoFi Stadium. The Chargers had a bye in Week 5, while the Cowboys got demolished by the the 49ers 42-10.

Chargers starting quarterback Justin Herbert, is dealing with a fractured middle finger on his left non-throwing hand. However, Head Coach Brandon Staley knows that a fractured middle finger won’t stop Herbert from being aggressive against Dan Quinn and his Cowboys defense.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys offense, led by their starting quarterback Dak Prescott, is looking to bounce back after a poor performance against San Francisco’s defense. The Dallas offense only had converted eight first downs and scored only 10 points throughout the game.

Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb only got targeted five times.

Overall, this game could come down to who has the ball last in the fourth quarter.
