London continues to treat the Jacksonville Jaguars nicely as the team scored a big statement win against a known AFC powerhouse, the Buffalo Bills. The contest ended in a final score of 25-20.
This was the Jaguar’s second straight week in which they have played in London and they finished both games on top with impressive offensive and defensive performances. They are the first NFL team to do this.
Jacksonville is now 7-5 overall when playing across the pond.
Jaguars Show Bite
The Jacksonville Jaguars stayed in London this past week before facing off against a Buffalo Bills team that had just beaten the impressive Miami Dolphins 48-20 the week before. With back-to-back wins, the Jaguars might want to petition to stay there for the rest of the season.
Jacksonville quickly jumped to an 11-0 lead in the first quarter and even through multiple mistakes as the game continued, they rallied each time.
Quarterback Trevor Lawerence, who recorded 315 yards passing and one touchdown, did lose two fumbles, both in Bills territory. However, the defense stepped up and forced two turnovers to help overcome these miscues.

The Buffalo Bills would make the game close again entering the final minutes of the fourth quarter but the Jaguars stayed committed to their run game and their rising star running back Travis Etienne Jr. who had the hot hand all day.
Etienne Jr had to have the stamina of a European soccer player this past Sunday as he was given 26 carries along with 4 receptions. He compiled 184 total yards and added two touchdowns.
He also put the nail in the coffin with under three minutes left in the game. With the Bills only down by five, they were looking to get a big stop on defense to get the ball back but instead gave up a 35-yard run for a score.
Bills Mafia Stunned
After a great performance against the Miami Dolphins last week, everyone believed that the Bills were now the powerhouse of the AFC that would go on a run to secure their dominance. However, London and the Jaguars had other plans for that.
After getting off to a slow start, the Bills rallied after being down 11-0 in the first quarter. They kept the game close throughout the remainder of the game after a Stefon Diggs touchdwon catch in the second quarter to make it 11-7.
It was not until the 4th quarter when the game started to heat up. However, with every answer the Bills had, Jacksonville had an effective response and never lost the lead in the game.
Star QB Josh Allen had an efficient game throwing for 359 yards and two touchdowns but was not satisfied with the details after the game.
“We didn’t take care of the little things,” Allen continued, “That’s on us captain, making sure that this team is ready to go. You know, the opposing team, they were ready to go today. We weren’t.”
To add insult to injury, The Bills lost starting linebacker Matt Milano in the first quarter and many believe that his season will be over.
