The Philadelpha Phillies and the Atlanta Braves will continue their National League Division Series on Monday Night with Game 2 of the series. The Phillies stunned the Braves in the NLDS opener in Atlanta on Saturday, winning 3-0.
NLDS Rematch
In the 2022 NLDS, the underdog Phillies defeated the defending World Series Champion Braves. The Phillies won in Game 4 (8-3), clinching them a spot in the NL Championship Series. This was one of the biggest upsets in MLB postseason history.

Top performers for the Phillies include Bryce Harper, scoring home run and a single, and Stott, who hit a grand slam against the Marlins in Game 2; he’s become a standout for the Phillies in the playoffs.

The Phillies turned to six relief pitchers after Ranger Suárez concluded, all of whom were able to hold Atlanta scoreless.
Philadelphia also set a franchise record for most stolen bases in a postseason game, tallying up five.
On the Braves’ side, they do have one of the most impressive offenses in the league.
However, they have not played tough competition and have only had a couple scrimmages this week.
Some fans think this put them at a disadvantage for Game 1, but others say they are well rested. The Braves understand they need to do a better job handling the Phillies’ aggression, holding the ball looking out for steals. They were able to hold off a few steels but gave up the franchise record.

Looking Ahead
Looking forward to Game 3, the Phillies will have the home field advantage at Citizens Bank Park.
The Phillies are 24-11 at home in the postseason, the best record for any team. There is also a 71% chance that the team to win the first game in a best-of-five series goes on to win the entire series.
Atlanta is hoping to bounce back in order to enter Citizens Bank Park with a win and beat these odds. The Braves are starting ace Max Fried, who hasn’t pitched since Sept. 21 due to injury.
Philadelphia will also start their ace, Zack Wheeler.
First pitch is set for 6:07 p.m.
