Florida Standout
Langford is one of the best hitters Florida baseball has produced. Langford was the third player in program history to hit 20-plus homers in consecutive seasons.
He tied the program’s single-season record with 28 doubles. In the College World Series, he hit the longest home run (456 feet) that Charles Schwab Field has ever seen.
Langford was electric in a Gator uniform and the Rangers are hoping for the same output.
ACL Rangers and Hickory Crawdads
Langford played three games with the ACL Rangers before being promoted to the Hickory Crawdads. In his time with the Rangers, he had five hits and a home run with a batting average of .385.
Wyatt then went on to play 24 games with the Crawdads. He tallied 29 hits and five home runs with 15 RBIs. His batting average was .333 with an on-base percentage of .453.
In early September, after proving himself in North Carolina, Langford received a promotion to the AA Frisco RoughRiders.
Hot Start With the RoughRiders
In Langford’s first six games with Frisco, he had three multi-hit games, three doubles and a .300 batting average.
Wyatt’s bat caught even more fire in his game on Sept. 13.
In true Wyatt Langford fashion, the RoughRider had his first multi-homer game.
With just eight games in Frisco, Langford has collected 10 hits and three home runs. He’s batted in eight runs with a batting average of .385.

While his offensive dominance stands out, Langford is also a play-making outfielder.
Wyatt made a diving catch into the stands for an out in the first inning of the Frisco, Amarillo game on Sept. 13.

Langford has lived up to the hype as a fourth overall pick. His success quickly earned him a promotion with multiple teams.
The Frisco RoughRiders will finish out the season with a series against the Amarillo Soddies. The final games are scheduled for Sept. 14-17 in Amarillo.
