The 2023 MLB season is officially underway with a Rays sweep of the Tigers.
Thursday was the league’s season opener as the Tampa Bay Rays took on the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers and Rays competed in a three-game series resulting in a winning sweep for the Rays.
Next up for the Rays will be the start of their three-game series against the Washington Nationals. The first game of three will start tonight at 7:05 p.m.
Last season, the Rays finished third in the American League East. The Rays have played in 26 seasons of the MLB resulting in eight playoffs and zero championships. Last year, the Rays made it to the wildcard round but lost both games to the Cleavland Guardians.
