The final round of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, held in Athens, Georgia, was canceled Sunday due to weather. The preliminary ending placed the No. 21 Florida Gat0rs women’s golf team third overall with a score of +5, and concluded the team’s regular season play.
Florida placed top-5 in four out of five regular season spring tournaments. With the conclusion of the regular season, Florida will now compete in the SEC Championship beginning April 12 at the Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama. Last season, Florida finished runner-up in the SEC championship.

Maisie Filler had a good showing in Athens, finishing tied for third overall. She shot under par in both rounds (71, 70), finishing the tournament with a score of -3. This marked Filler’s third top-10 finish of the season.

Senior Annabell Fuller also put on a solid performance, as she ended T-18 with a final score of +2. Fuller has finished in the top-25 a team-leading seven times this season. For the rest of the team, Marina Escobar finished T31, Jackie Lucena finished in T42 and Karoline Tuttle came in at T52.

Tournament Results
Auburn came out on top with an impressive finish of -13, followed by South Carolina with -2, Florida with +2, Purdue and North Carolina at +7, and Georgia, Virginia and Louisville at +10.
A total of 15 teams competed, but many other teams shot well out of competition.
