After a thrilling game, No.2 Alabama clinched the SEC regular season title against Auburn, winning 90-85 in overtime. Trailing by 17 points with 10 minutes left of game time, Alabama had their biggest comeback since the 2010-11 season.

First Half
Auburn jumped out the gate strong at the start of the game. During the first 20 minutes, Auburn was shooting at 54% including a 6-of-8 from beyond the arc.

Meanwhile, Alabama had a combined 39%, making only three of their attempted 13 3-pointer shots. Alabama was undoubtedly struggling offensively during the first half.
However, Alabama’s Jahvon Quinerly was able to boost their score gradually, making nine points and three assists during the first 20 minutes.
By the time half time approached, the Tigers were up 40-33 and the Crimson Tide had lots to catch up on coming into the second half.
Second Half
At about halfway through the second half, Alabama had to dominate in order to recover from a 17-point deficit. To the Crimson Tide’s relief, Mark Sears and Noah Clowney hit two 3-pointers each, going on a 14-0 run at this point.
Going forward, Alabama didn’t seem to back down offensively. Auburn began to fall off when it came to shooting 3-pointers, missing six of their last nine.
Having lost two players during the game, Alabama continued building up momentum. By the 1:37 mark, the Crimson Tide took their first lead of the game. Allen Flanigan scored a layup, taking the game to the overtime, as the score now sat tied at 75.
Alabama Victory in OT
Alabama was not backing down by any means. Clowney came in strong after the break dunking on the Tigers followed by a 3-pointer from Sears.
The Tigers were hungry for a comeback, looking for any chance to make those points to catch up and lead. Miller took two free throws and began to foul Johni Broome, then Flanigan and Jaylin Williams.
After a nail-biting overtime, Alabama closed out the game winning 90-85 against Auburn. This win brought home the SEC regular season title on top of the 1-seed in next week’s SEC tournament.
