Paris-Saint Germain’s Achraf Hakimi is being investigated for rape by French judicial authorities. A woman accused Hakimi of raping her in his home in Boulogne last Saturday while his family was on vacation.
The Nanterre prosecutor’s office outside of Paris is leading the investigation.
Le Parisien says communication between Hakimi and the woman began on Jan. 16 via Instagram, and they finally met in person after he missed PSG’s match against Marseille due to thigh pains. The report says Hakimi ordered an Uber to his home for the woman where things eventually got out of hand. She proceeded to message her friend to pick her up.

Hakimi is a full-back for PSG and plays international football for Morocco. He scored the penalty that sent Morocco to a historic semifinal during the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The Moroccan is regarded as one of the best right-backs in the world.
He has 21 caps for PSG this season, recording four goals and three assists. During the Best FIFA Awards in Paris on Monday, he was named one of the men’s best world 11, along with PSG teammates Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
Ahead of the awards ceremony, he claimed that the accusations of rape against him were completely false. MARCA says he is calm about the situation, which is already in the prosecution’s hands.
