The Orlando Magic are on a two-game winning streak after beating the Minnesota Timberwolves last week and beating the Charlotte Hornets Sunday night.
The Magic have had an up-and-down season so far this year. Currently, in the 2022-2023 season, the Magic are 22-32 with an upcoming game against the New York Knicks.
Up to this point in this season, the longest winning streak the Magic have accumulated was a six-game streak that took place throughout December. Before their six-game winning streak, the Magic had lost nine games in a row.

Rookie Superstar
Paolo Banchero
The Orlando Magic were able to snag Duke’s Paolo Banchero with the first pick in the 2022 draft. Banchero only played one season with the Duke Blue Devils before getting drafted into the NBA. During his time at Duke, Banchero was named the Rookie of the Year of the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2022.
So far this season, the 20-year-old has been making a statement. In the Magic’s game against the Charlotte Hornets, Banchero scored 22 out of the 119 winning points. He added five assists and 10 rebounds.
Banchero is currently the frontrunner for the 2022-2023 NBA Rookie of the Year award.

Cole Anthony
After getting drafted in 2020, Cole Anthony is currently playing in his third season with the Magic. During the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Anthony scored 20 points, had six assists, and had eight rebounds. His scoring helped the Magic beat the Timberwolves 127-120.

Bol Bol
After his freshman season with the Oregon Ducks, Bol Bol was taken in the second round of the 2019 NBA draft where he was drafted by the Miami Heat but was then traded to the Denver Nuggets.
Standing at 7-foot-2, Bol Bol joins the Orlando Magic for the 2022-2023 season after playing for 3 seasons with the Denver Nuggets. In November, Bol hit a career-high scoring 26 points against the Timberwolves.

Game Suspensions
After the Magic vs. Timberwolves, the NBA came out with a statement suspending center Mo Bamba and point guard Jalen Suggs without pay due to a fight that broke out between Bamba and Timberwolves point guard Austin Rivers. Bamba has been suspended for four games while Suggs is only suspended for one game.
