Wednesday’s Matchup
Florida A&M lost its first four games of the season before earning its first win against Albany State University.
In Florida’s last meeting with FAMU, it won with an almost 20-point margin, ending the game with a score of 80-59.
Kowacie Reeves has been a key part of the Gators team, averaging 10 points in his three home games starts to start season. He was benched in the second half for Trey Bonham against FSU after going 1-for-4 in the first half. Reeves did not end up playing in the first or third games of the PK85 tournament. Colin Castleton, Florida’s star forward looks to reset Wednesday against FAMU after a rough weekend, struggling in the three “PK85” games. He averaged just 8.6 points in those games after he averaged 23.5 points per game before the “PK85” tournament.
Wednesday will be the 12th meeting between the Gators and FAMU, with Florida leading the series 11-0.
Todd Golden, the Gators head coach, will look to reset his team if they want to look forward to success. After FAMU, they face off against two tough teams: Stetson and the undefeated Connecticut.
