LSU, Georgia and Florida were amongst the winners of the SEC in Week 10 of the NCAA football season. These wins come shortly before the College Football Playoff Selection Committee released its next set of top 25 rankings on Tuesday.
LSU Tigers Top Crimson Tide in Overtime
The LSU Tigers were perhaps the biggest winner in Week 10, coming out on top over Alabama 32-31 in overtime. The score went back and forth right up until a field goal by Alabama to tie the game at 24-24 with 21 seconds left in the game.
The Crimson Tide struck first in the extra period, with junior running back Roydell Williams rushing for one yard into LSU’s end zone.
The Tigers fired back with a 25-yard rushing touchdown from junior quarterback Jayden Daniels to bring LSU within one. Head coach Brian Kelly made a decision to go with a two-point conversion to put his team over the top. His prayers were answered when Daniels connected with freshman Mason Taylor for the conversion.

LSU fans stormed the field at Tiger Stadium to celebrate the win. However, this celebration has resulted in a $250,000 fine for the university. The Tigers have now been fined a total of $500,000, after committing the same offense two weeks ago in their win over Ole Miss.
Georgia Overcomes Tennessee
The Georgia Bulldogs were victorious over the Tennessee Volunteers 27-13 on Saturday.
Georgia started strong, scoring 21 unanswered points in the first half. Quarterback Stetson Bennett threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns, while the defense racked up stats of its own.
Redshirt sophomore Kelee Ringo boasted an interception, while the rest of the defense put up six sacks and two forced fumbles.
