The Miami Heat host the Chicago Bulls Wednesday in South Beach as the regular season gets underway.
Last Year’s Notables
The Heat are coming off of a very productive 2021-22 season. The team lead by current head coach Erik Spoelstra put together a 53-29 regular season record. That effort was good enough for first place in the Eastern conference. The Heat then capitalized on the home court by making it all the way to the Eastern conference finals. After a hard fought series they fell to the Celtics in seven games.
They were lead by the lone all star and all NBA selection Jimmy Butler. Butler now has a total of six All-Star selections and four All-NBA teams. Behind Butler who put up 21.4 points per game, Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo also had tremendous seasons. All three are back for the 2022 season and look to lead the team again.
New Faces
The Heat have maintained predominantly the same roster. They add only their first round pick Serbian Nikola Jovic and Darius Dayes out of LSU on a two-way contract.
Gameday

Bulls and Heat Deets
Bulls stars Zach Lavine and Alex Caruso are both day to day. Victor Oladipo and Omer Yurtseven are out for the Heat.
This is a battle of two playoff teams from last year. The Bulls were bounced by the Bucks in the first round after a quality regular season.
The Bulls made the trip South Tuesday.
The Heat look to start Kyle Lowry, Tyler Herro, Caleb Martin, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
The Bulls will send out Ayo Dosunmo, Zach Lavine (DD), DeMar DeRozan, Patrick Williams and Nikola Vucevic.
