The 2022-2023 NBA season begins tonight with the Boston Celtics hosting the Philadelphia 76ers. In the night cap, the Los Angeles Lakers hit the road to take on the defending champion Golden State Warriors. Tipoff for the Celtics and Sixers matchup is set for 7:30 p.m. and the Lakers and Warriors contest is set to start at 10 p.m.
Boston, the reigning Eastern Conference Champions, are looking for revenge after falling short in the NBA Finals. However, the Celtics will be without head coach Ime Udoka, as he is suspended for the entire season for violating team policies.
The Warriors will celebrate their seventh NBA Championship and their fourth in the past eight years. The team will receive their championship rings prior to Tuesday’s game. Lebron James will look to spoil the Warriors’ ceremony as Los Angeles looks to rebound after a disappointing 2021-2022 season.

Sixers vs. Celtics
Both teams finished with identical records last season going 51-31. The Sixers were ousted by the Miami Heat in the second round of the playoffs while Boston fell to the Warriors in the finals.
The Celtics will be without two key players in Danilo Gallinari and Robert Williams III. Both are out with knee injuries. Boston is hoping star players Jalen Brown and Jayson Tatum are able to hold off the Sixers fierce lineup.
Boston’s defense is in for a challenge tonight as they will be forced to contain two elite scorers in James Harden and Joel Embiid for Philadelphia.

Warriors vs. Lakers
The Warriors open the season against against a fellow California team. Stephen Curry and his teammates were able to clinch 53 regular season wins in 2021-2022. On the other hand, the Lakers missed the playoffs with a 33-49 record.
Despite this, a healthy James and Anthony Davis head to San Francisco with a win on their mind. During the offseason, Los Angeles signed Patrick Beverly to bolster their defense and also signed Lonnie Walker IV to increase their offensive production.
There’s no denying the talent that glues together this Golden State team. While the Warriors turnover rate was the second worst reported last season, their offense and shooting is one of the best in the league. The Warriors’ ability to score should keep them in contention as one of the top teams throughout the season.
Last NBA season ended with this all-time @StephenCurry30 performance.
