Gators Lacrosse continues to steamroll through their opponents.
Florida beat the No.3 team in the nation, Syracuse, on March 16 with the final score of 14-10. As a result, the win has been a positive momentum builder for the team. Notably, this win has helps towards the teams eight game wining streak, with an overall record of 10-4 on the season.
A case for the Tewaaraton
The Tewaaraton award is an annual award given to the best college lacrosse player for both men and women. Significantly, another Gator is on the list this year that happens to be freshman Emma LoPinto. Notably, she has recorded 44 goals and 24 assists in 14 games has averaged nine points on 28 goals and 21 assists through Florida’s first 11 games of the season. Also, she has recorded a hat trick in five games this season and has dished out multiple assists in six contests during the 2022 campaign. She is first true freshman in gator history to get the Tewaaraton watch list nod.

The Gators are now No. 8 in the current NCAA rankings for lacrosse. They look to keep their hot streak going when they welcome Temple to “Donald R Dizney” Stadium on Saturday. First Draw is set for noon.
