Gators Lacrosse defeated Old Dominion 22-6 over Saturday to improve their overall record to 9-4. The win marks Florida’s seventh consecutive win in 2022.

On the Leaderboard
A total of 14 players sent in goals this Saturday. Freshman Emma LoPinto led her offense with four goals and one assist. Sarah Mackey, Madison Rielly, Ashley Gonzalez, Paisley Eagan and Emily Heller all put in two goals each for their offense. The Gators took a total of 17 draw controls with five of them being from Liz Harrison.
Florida also dominated on the defensive side. The Gators were able to keep the Monarchs to a .313 shooting percentage on the afternoon. Then, Florida totaled 12 turnovers.
Brie Catts had herself a day when she tied her career-best in goals, assists and caused turnovers. Then, she set a new career-high when she registered two goals.
Sarah Reznick registered saves in 42 consecutive games and Danielle Pavinelli has extended her scoring streak to 16 straight games. Head Coach O’Leary is happy with the win.
“We played very well from start to finish today. That was a full 60-minute game for us and I thought our players came off the bench and were just outstanding today,” said O’Leary.
