The No. 14 Florida Gators baseball team travels to Miami to take on their in-state rival, the No. 22 Miami Hurricanes in the first of a three-game series Friday night.

How Florida has Faired So Far
The Gators baseball team got off to a slow start when they dropped their first series to Liberty. Since then, Florida has won seven straight and outscored their opponents 68-10.
Hunter Barco, The Gators ace, is tied for third in strikeouts with 23 on the year. Florida is second only to Tennessee in home runs with 23 on the season thus far.
Florida is currently the sixth-highest ranked team in the SEC according to D1 Baseball Rankings.
Last Time Out for Gators Baseball
The latest victim of the Gators was Florida A&M on Wednesday. The Gators routed the Rattlers 17-0 and were highlighted by Jud Fabian. Fabian went 3-4 with two home runs, two doubles and a walk.
The Rattlers gave up a total of six home runs in the outing.

On the Mound, Garrett Milchin got the win as he threw five innings and only gave up two hits while striking out two.
Miami Hurricanes
The Hurricanes are off to a strong start this year coming in at 7-1. They rank in the top 25 in walks, ERA and home runs.
The ACC also has a strong showing in the rankings as the Hurricanes are the fifth highest ranked team in their conference in the Top 25.
Last Time Out
Miami is coming off of a strong 10-0 win over Harvard on Sunday. Prior to this, Miami lost a game to the Clemson Tigers.
Jacob Burke led the way with 4 RBIs including a three-run home run in the first inning.
Jake Garland got the win for Miami pitching six innings and only gave up two hits. He struck out three in the effort.
