Orlando Magic fall short against the Sacramento Kings

The Orlando Magic (8-11) lost their home game against the Sacramento Kings (7-10) Wednesday night, 107-121.

Kings Jump Out To First Quarter Lead

The Kings took an early lead in the first quarter outscoring the Magic 32-23 by the end of the quarter.

Kings’ Marvin Bagley III put them on the board to get the game started. Kings’ Harrison Baned followed with a 26-foot three-pointer making the score 4-0.

Magic center Nicola Vucevic responded with a 23-foot three-pointer assisted by Cole Anthony making the score 4-3. The Kings then continued to add to their score giving them a nine point lead by the end of the first.

In the second quarter, the Kings continued to lead the Magic. Kings’ Hassan Whiteside made an 11-foot two-point shot making the score 34-25.

The teams went back and forth with a final score of 65-50 in the second quarter.

Magic Struggle To Catch Up

With the Kings still leading the Magic by halftime, Orlando’s James Ennis III made a driving layup putting the score at 65-52. Ennis then make a 25-foot three-point jumper assisted by Anthony making the score 65-55 at the beginning of the third quarter. With an end score of 96-77 in the third quarter.

In the final quarter, Magic’s Dwayne Bacon makes an 18-foot pullup jump shot with a Gary Clark assist making the score 96-79. King’s Hassan Whiteside responds with an alley-oop layup making the score 98-79. The Magic ends up falling short with a final score of 121-107.

Magic  Vucevic led Orlando with 26 points and 9 rebounds on the night.

Kings Buddy Hield led Sacramento with a season-best with 29 points against the Orlando Magic. He made 10 of 17 shots and 7 of 12 3-pointers.
