The Santa Fe College men’s and women’s basketball teams get a chance to fight for the state title in their Mid-Florida Conference tournaments. The men advance to play the College of Central Florida in Ocala tonight at 7 p.m. Meanwhile, the women will host the MFC Tournament finals tonight against Florida State College – Jacksonville at 7 p.m.
Men’s Santa Fe College Basketball
The saints advance after coming off a 77-59 win against Daytona State College in a MFC semifinal game last Monday. Santa Fe made 11 three-pointers and outrebounded Daytona State College 36-31.

Now they’ll go head to head with the College of Central Florida for a spot at the FCSAA State Tournament held in Ocala. The Saints are 6-6 in conference play and 21-10 overall.

Women’s Santa Fe College Basketball
The SFC Women will host the MFC Tournament finals tonight. The saints, who are 6-3 in conference play, will go up against Florida State College at Jacksonville who are 0-9 in the MFC. The winner of tonight’s game gets a spot in the FCSAA State Tournament.
Both SFC and FSCJ are coming off wins against the College of Central Florida. The saints defeated the Patriots 90 – 50. Meanwhile, FSCJ just barely beat the Patriots 57-55.
