When you hear the name Jonathan India, you think the best of Gators Baseball. You think about their win at the College World Series last season in Nebraska and the final play when LSU left in defeat while the Gators piled on piled on the pitcher’s mound to celebrate their victory.
You think, how could the Gators get any better than that? How will the Gators be able to move into another season and be any better? According to Jonathan India, you act like all of it never happened.
India’s Success
With a team-high 15 doubles and six home runs, India certainly has shown his importance to the team. He battled an arm injury at the beginning of the season and still came out and dominated in stealing bases (13, the highest on the team) and 15 doubles, along with 34 RBI.
But he does still think about that glorious moment every once in a while.
With a total of 81 runs scored in his two-year career thus far, expect to see him add plenty more to that number this season.

India Looks Forward
Starting his junior season now, India has taken on a leadership role for the team. He gave some useful advice to freshman.
He went on to discuss how other players on the team instilled a good work ethic in him when he first came to the Gator nation. He says that was the reason he wasn’t on the bench and why he got so much playing time as a freshman.
Florida begins their season on February 16 against Siena College in Gainesville. First pitch is at 6:30 p.m.
