College Football Preview: Louisiana Lafayette Visits Ole Miss

The Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns will battle the Ole Miss Rebels this Saturday, Novermber 11th, at 12pm. The match off will take place at Ole Miss’s Vaught–Hemingway Stadium.

Louisiana Lafayette

The Ragin’ Cajuns have a record of 4-4. They won their last game against South Alabama 19-14 and are looking for another win. Earlier this year, Louisiana Lafayette suspended 13 players whom were arrested for felony theft.

This has seemed to become a more common issue in college football. Levi Lewis, the Ragin’ Cajuns freshman quarterback, proved himself in their last game when he recorded 110 yards and 2 touchdowns in the air, while adding 129 yards on the ground. Although Lewis was efficient, he could not get the Cajuns past 19 points.

We will see Saturday if he can muster the strength to beat Ole Miss with more points.

Rebels Struggling

The Ole Miss Rebels have a record of 4-5. Although they won their last game against Kentucky, they recently suffered a painful loss of 38-37 against Arkansas in October. Since that game they have been working on improving themselves and changing their losing record.

As for Ole Miss players, senior running back Jordan Wilkins has an ankle injury but is giving it all he can. Coach Matt Luke praises Wilkins for his commitment and his job as a leader, keeping the team together during this tough time.

Coach Luke is very proud of his team. When asked about the atmosphere in the locker room after the Kentucky game, he says it was very gratifying. He comments on the young talented players growing up with the team and the resilience of the team to keep on fighting against all odds.

Above is an image that Ole Miss tweeted after last weeks game when they beat Kentucky 37-34. They look excited and inspired to win more games. We’ll see on Saturday if this is the Rebels reaction after the anticipated battle against the Ragin’ Cajuns.
