Chris Chiozza Injured in Exhibition Opener

During Thursday night’s exhibition game against Jacksonville University, Gator basketball’s senior point guard Chris Chiozza sprained his left shoulder.

According to FloridaGators.com, within the first minute of the game is when the injury occurred. Chiozza doubled over in pain but tried to continue playing. However, he was on the bench not long after the injury took place. He was looked over by trainer Dave Werner and cleared to return to the game.

Yet, two possessions later, Chiozza left the game and watched the remainder from the bench.
