High School Football Preview: Oak Hall Faces St. Francis

There’s a lot of Alachua County games to watch out for this week, but Oak Hall facing St. Francis should really catch your attention. These two teams are area and divisional rivals. Not to mention, the two private schools are both undefeated going into this match-up.

Oak Hall

Between this season and last, the Eagles currently have a 13-game win streak going. Oak Hall went on the road last week and defeated Quincy Monroe, 38-0. The Eagles are led by head coach Matt DiBernardo, who has completely elevated this team’s play in his three seasons. Last year, Oak Hall grabbed the North Florida Conference title after an undefeated season.

St. Francis

At 4-0, the St. Francis Wolves are off to their best start in school history. Last week, the Wolves defeated Bronson in a dominating 44-8 win. St. Francis head coach Scott McDaniel has turned this team around from past years. St. Francis is getting their long awaited home game and what better team to play at home than your rival?

The Game

Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. This should be a good match-up between two rivals. Both teams are undefeated, but one will leave tonight with a loss.
