Round 1 of The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in Southport, England, teed off at 1:35 a.m. ET on Thursday morning in the United States.
The top golfers in the world will be tested as they pursue the championship and one of the top questions remains is whether there will be a first-time winner for the tournament or will one of the star golfers grab hold of the major championship.
Weather may dictate some changes to the start times and could leave out some of the biggest golfers out at a short periods and tee times have not yet been released for the weekend.
Round One
The Open is currently under way, at last check Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka finished the first round tying in first place with 5 under par.
With Spieth tying for first place, he is projected to win the championship. He is coming off a win at the Travelers Championship. This will be three majors down for his career, with the PGA Championship to go.
