Florida Gator wide receiver Antonio Callaway was cited for marijuana possession, according to Alachua County court records.
The vehicle was stopped for a seat belt violation by the Gainesville Police Department early Saturday morning. Callaway was a passenger in the rear drivers side seat. Police had smelled marijuana as he approached the vehicle and found seven grams of marijuana in his pockets and another five grams in the car.
Both Callaway and the driver admitted to ownership of the marijuana according to the police report.
The 6-foot, 195-pound junior, is one of Florida’s top offensive player.
Callaway has previously admitted to marijuana use in a Title IX investigation. He was cleared of wrongdoing in that case.
A court case is scheduled for June 6.
