The No. 2 Florida Gator Softball team will host North Florida on Wednesday night. The Gators are 33-2 overall and 10-1 in the SEC, while North Florida is 21-15 overall and 2-1 in their conference.

The Team
Freshman Jordan Roberts was named SEC Freshman of the Week for the first time after she posted a .545 batting average that included 10 RBI and a pair of home runs. Roberts now has 10 multi-RBI games on the season.
Sophomore Amanda Lorenz is entering Wednesday’s game with a 35-game reached base streak on the line. Lorenz ended the 2016 season on an 18-game streak. The Gators rank inside the top 10 of five national statistical categories entering this week, including leading the league with an ERA of 0.74.
Teammates Kelly Barnhill, Delanie Gourley and Kayli Kvistad lead the nation in five different statistical categories. Here’s a look:
- Barnhil – ERA (0.26) & strikeouts per seven innings (13.1), and is he nation’s leader with a 0.26 ERA.
- Gourley – hits allowed per seven innings (2.54)
- Kvistad – on base percentage (0.628) & walks (1.23 per game)
