The Gator baseball team was trailing 10-1 to Stetson at home in the top of the fifth inning.
Thanks to Mother Nature, the game won’t go down as a loss. In fact, it won’t go down as anything, as the game was canceled due to inclement weather. The game is not planned to be rescheduled, per the Gators twitter account.
UPDATE:

The decision comes as a stroke of good luck for the Gators, as they had looked lackluster in the first four and a half innings of the game. Stetson jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two innings and a 10-1 lead in the fifth inning before lightning struck in the area. The game does not count as a loss as it did not last at least five full innings. Gator pitchers gave up 14 hits after allowing Stetson to get 20 hits in an earlier season 9-8 win over the Hatters.
The Gators attention will now turn to their weekend series against Tennessee at McKethan Stadium.
