West Brom 3, Arsenal 1
- Craig Dawson (12′, 75′)
- Hal Robson-Kanu (55′)
- Alexis Sánchez (15′)
Recap
The downhill spiral continues for Arsenal and Arsene Wenger, as West Brom handed them their fourth loss in their last five league games. Two second-half goals from the home side gave them the 3-1 victory and increased the calls for Wenger’s firing.

West Brom only had 23% of the possession in this match, but still put more shots on goal than the visitors (8-2).
The first of those shots on goal to find the back of the net came at the 12th minute via the first goal of defender Craig Dawson’s brace. Dawson rose above the Arsenal defenders at the near post on a whipped in corner kick from the left flag, and headed the ball into to the far side of the net to give West Brom the 1-0 lead.
Arsenal answered quickly though, with Alexis Sanchez finding the equalizer just three minutes later.
Granit Xhaka lofted the ball to left corner of box towards Sanchez. Sanchez chested it down, cut inside on his right foot and blasted it into the roof of the net for his 18th league goal of the season.

Cech came off injured for David Ospina, and the Colombian goalkeeper was at fault for the goal that gave West Brom the lead again.
Nacer Chadli lobbed a ball in to the middle of the box. Ospina’s sliding clearance went right to substitute Hal-Robson Kanu who made it 2-1.
The dagger for Arsenal came fifteen minutes from half-time, again from Dawson on a set piece. This time the corner kick came from the right flag, and the cross was sent towards the back post. Dawson found himself unmarked there and jumped in front of one of his fellow players to get the brace.
Arsenal are now in sixth place, six points out of a Champions League spot and trending in the wrong direction. West Brom meanwhile remain in eighth place, seven points behind both Everton and Arsenal.
