Former Gator basketball coach Billy Donovan is continuing to see success in his coaching career. After coaching the Gators for 19 years, Donovan became the head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder last April. The Thunder won 55 games last season, enough to take them to the playoffs. They have also been playing well as of late, riding a six-game win streak.
Westbrook Dominating 2016-17 Season

Russell Westbrook has been an essential component of this Thunder team. Westbrook has been averaging 31 points per game, and has proved to be a real leader for Oklahoma. However, his six straight triple-doubles have been all the talk as of late. If he can make it seven in a row, he would be tied with Michael Jordan. Wilt Chamberlain holds the record, with nine straight triple-doubles.
Six in a Row
The Thunder have won six games in a row, improving their record to 14-8. Westbrook has obviously played a large part in that, but other notable players include Victor Oladipo and Anthony Morrow. Donovan says Westbrook has done a nice job leading the offense and making the most of his opportunities.
Looking Ahead
Donovan and the Thunder will take on the Houston Rockets this Friday. Westbrook will go for his seventh straight triple-double, while the team will go for its seventh straight win.
