As Louisville prepares for their last home game, head coach Bobby Petrino remembers the impact that his seniors have had on him and his team over the years.
No. 11 Louisville is currently 9-2, and 7-1 in the ACC. Their only losses come from No.5 Clemson and Houston, both road games. They are coming off their loss to Houston last week, and hoping to end their season with a rivalry weekend victory as they enter bowl eligibility. Petrino knows how well Kentucky has been playing, and that Saturday will not be an easy fight.
A Look At Louisville
Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson is 204-for-357 passing for 3,109 yards and 28 touchdowns with six interceptions. He also has rushed 209 times for 1,367 yards and 19 scores. He is Louisville’s first-ever Davey O’Brien Award finalist, an award presented annually to the best college quarterback. With a win this Saturday over the cats, the dual-threat quarterback will increase his chances even more of becoming the next Heisman Trophy winner. Though Jackson has received most of the attention on offense, Brandon Radcliff has stood out as a leader as well. The 5-9, 210 lb. running back has had a career-high 787 yards this season.

Louisville has the best fourth down conversion rate in the ACC. However, Kentucky can claim one of the most productive rushing attacks in all of college football. UK has averaged 301.2 rushing yards per game over their last five games. This season they have seen their highest total rush yards (2,666) since 1976.
Kentucky Numbers
With three rushing touchdowns today, Kentucky will tie their program record (30) for most in a season. That goal is looking more and more attainable, as quarterback Stephen Johnson returned to practice Monday after suffering a left knee injury during last week’s Austin Peay game.
