SEC Preview: Arkansas on the Road Against Mississippi State

This Saturday is Senior Night in Starkville, as the Mississippi State Bulldogs welcome the Arkansas Razorbacks to Davis Wade Stadium.

Both of these teams are coming off huge losses last weekend. Arkansas fell 10-38 to then-No. 24 LSU, while Mississippi State was trampled on by Alabama, 3-51 to make their record 4-6.

Arkansas has two more games left in conference play and they want their season to end with victories. They are looking to snap their three-game losing streak in their series with Mississippi state. Arkansas Head Coach Bret Bielema says his team has been preparing for the matchup.

Since taking over as Arkansas head coach three years ago, Bret Bielema has not lost to Mississippi State. And he doesn’t plan on changing that Saturday.

In recent matchups between these two teams, the outcome has always been determined by the final play of the game. Both teams are preparing for a tough fourth quarter.

Fearing Fitzgerald?

Coach Bielema knows the threat that Mississippi State freshman quarterback Nick Fitzgerald poses to his defense. Fitzgerald was recently named SEC Co-offensive Player Of The Week and he is the third quarterback in the last twenty years with over 200 passing yards and over 175 rushing yards in a game. Mississippi State Head Coach Dan Mullen is confident in his young quarterback.

You can catch the game on ESPNU. Kickoff is set for Saturday at 7 p.m.
