A late race spin-out cleared the way for Joey Logano to win the Can-Am 500 at Phoenix International Speedway, securing a spot in the final round of the Chase.
Matt Kenseth was leading during the restart on lap 317 when Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Kyle Busch, gave the car in front of him a bump forward. Kenseth went low to block, but misjudged his clearance – resulting in a spin out.

The wreck opened up the track for Joey Logano to take 1st, and finish the race by celebrating in victory lane. Logano believes that last year’s attempt to win the cup was a long-shot, but this year it is all for the taking.
Accompanying Logano in the Championship 4 is Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, and Carl Edwards.
