The Buchholz Bobcats (6-2) host the Santa Fe Raiders (4-4) this Friday in a non-conference matchup. With both teams coming off of large-margin victories, here is what to expect when these two teams play head to head.
Santa Fe Raiders
The Santa Fe Raiders have gone 4-4 so far in the regular season. They hold a 3-1 record in their district. Last week, they easily pushed past Keystone Heights, beating the Indians 48-7. However, head coach Cliff Harrell says his team should be careful and not feel satisfied, as they know they face a tough opponent this week in Buchholz. Santa Fe is a rather young team, but Harrell says his team has steadily improved over the course of the season. The Raiders will need to push through Buchholz’s strong defense to come away with a win.
Buccholz Bobcats
The Buchholz Bobcats are also coming off of a big win. They shutout the Creekside Knights last week 49-0. While their defense is clearly a strong point, the Bobcats will look to their offense to carry the same energy into this Santa Fe matchup. Buchholz holds a 6-2 record on the year. They are 4-0 in district play. Both of their losses came in non-conference play. They will look to break that trend with a win against the Raiders.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
