What Happened:
Up to this point, Georgia had dominated the rivalry, winning 14 of the 18 games played. Entering the 1941 matchup though, the Dawgs were on a one-game losing streak to the Gators after falling 18-13 in the previous season.
With newcomer Frank Sinkwich leading the way in the Georgia backfield, the Dawgs returned to their winning ways. They soundly beat the Gators 19-3 behind a touchdown run and field goal from Sinkwich. Even more impressive, the freshman did this all with a broken jaw he sustained from a car accident!
This would kick off a seven-game winning streak for Georgia that Chuck Hunsinger and company would end in 1949.
