The Giants had high hopes last night to stay away from the dreaded 2-2 record, but there was no way the Vikings were going to start losing now. With their new stadium, a Monday night game and
an undefeated record on the line, they kept the momentum going with a 24-10 victory.
In the beginning of the season, a season-ending injury to Teddy Bridgewater seemed to be the absolute worst possible thing that could happen. After winning the NFC North title last year, Bridgewater and the rest of the
team had high hopes for the 2016 season. However, it seems as though QB Sam Bradford will be the saving grace.
Bradford threw for 262 yards last night and had a 72 percent completion rate. After outplaying Aaron Rodgers in Week 2, talk around the Vikings is quick to give all the credit to Bradford, but the defense deserves recognition too. It was ranked fourth in red zone scoring against and fifth in points allowed per game.
Giants Struggling
Eli Manning and the Giants have a lot of work to do, and WR Odell Beckham Jr is losing his cool. Beckham says that he feels “targeted” by other players, or in last night’s case, by Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes. The talented received registered only three catches and 23 yards all night.
Manning has faith in Beckham and wants to get the ball to him. The New York quarterback had a 55 percent completion rate and with 261 yards, he wished they didn’t just give up points.
Manning is certainly tired of the penalties. Can the Giants pull it together before they meet the Packers on Sunday?
The Vikings hope to reach 5-0 when they play the Houston Texans on the same day
