The Tampa Bay Rays ended their 11 game losing streak with a 13-7 win against the Boston Red Sox Monday night. This was the longest losing streak for the club in seven years.
Utility in fielder Nick Franklin drove-in five funs, a career high, and got his first three hits of the season. He had a two-run homer in the seventh, along with Logan Forsythe and Desmond Jennings who also homered. Rookie left-hand pitcher got his first big league win, allowing four runs and eight hits over 5 1/3 innings.

Chris Archer will be starting on the mound for the Rays tonight as they host the Red Sox tonight at 7:10.
The Miami Marlins were idle yesterday coming off of a series win against the Chicago Cubs, winning three out of four games. The Marlins have a record of 41-35, and are six games above .500 for the first time since June 2012, which was their first season in Marlins Park.
In the last game of the series against the Cubs, Jose Fernandez showed up for the Marlins both on offense and defense. He hit a standup double, and while on the mound allowed just one run in seven innings, striking out 13. The Cubs left the week 1-6, but still maintain the best record in baseball.
